"The Wolverine" is a 2013 superhero action film directed by James Mangold, based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. The movie stars Hugh Jackman, reprising his role as Logan/Wolverine, alongside Taissa Farmiga, Adam Beach, and Boyd Holbrook. The film serves as a standalone sequel to "X-Men: The Last Stand" (2006) and the seventh installment in the X-Men film series.
