Set in 15th-century Paris, the film tells the story of Quasimodo, a deformed but kind-hearted bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral. Quasimodo's life is forever changed when he meets Esmeralda, a beautiful and fiery gypsy dancer who captures the heart of the entire city.
