Despite the progress that has been made, however, there is still much work to be done to promote acceptance and understanding of kathoey. Many kathoey continue to face significant challenges, including discrimination, marginalization, and violence. There is a need for greater education and awareness about the kathoey experience, and for policies and laws that protect the rights of kathoey and promote their inclusion and acceptance.
