The movie's plot remains the same as the original English version. A cyborg assassin, known as the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), is sent back in time to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, the mother of the future leader of the human resistance against machines. A soldier, Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), is also sent back in time to protect Sarah.
