The story takes place in a mystical world where magic exists. The seventh son of a seventh son, Tom O'Bedlam (Asa Butterfield), is believed to possess magical powers. The story follows Tom's journey as he becomes apprenticed to a powerful wizard, Master Shunner (Bill Nighy).
