The first season of Prison Break premiered on August 29, 2005, and consists of 22 episodes. The story revolves around Michael Scofield, who gets himself incarcerated in Fox River State Penitentiary to break out his brother, Lincoln. Michael uses his knowledge of engineering to dig a tunnel and escape from the prison, while also helping his fellow inmates.
