The series revolves around Gu Qing, a young man who reincarnates into a new body every time he dies. With each reincarnation, he remembers his past life and tries to unravel the mystery behind his immortal samsara (cycle of birth and death). Along the way, he encounters various characters, including a powerful goddess, and gets entangled in a complex web of fate, karma, and power struggles.
