The first chapters of Dragon Ball Super introduce the reader to the aftermath of the Battle of Earth, where Goku and his friends have saved the planet from the destructive power of Kid Buu. The series then jumps forward in time, and we find Goku and Vegeta engaged in a training session. Meanwhile, Frieza, the infamous galactic overlord, returns to Earth seeking revenge against Goku and his friends.
