"Murder" is loosely based on the 2000 American film "Cruel Intentions." The story revolves around Surjan Singh Shekhawat (Kunal Khemu), a cop who's tasked with investigating the mysterious death of a young woman named Sonia (Mallika Sherawat). As Surjan digs deeper, he uncovers a web of secrets and lies that lead him to the killer. Meanwhile, a complex romance develops between Surjan and Sonia's friend, Neha (Emraan Hashmi's character's love interest).
