Producers realized there’s a lucrative, hungry market beyond regional language borders; budgets swelled, VFX and action units professionalized, and marketing shifted to think pan-India. Simultaneously, it provoked debates about authenticity and authorship. Dubbing necessarily alters voice, tone, and sometimes nuance—humor or cultural references may not translate cleanly, and dubbing choices can flatten or amplify character traits.
